Alenka Zupančič is a research adviser at the Institute of Philosophy of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts and visiting professor at the European Graduate School, Switzerland. She is the author of numerous articles and books on psychoanalysis and philosophy, including The Odd One In: on Comedy (MIT 2008); Why Psychoanalysis: Three Interventions (Aarhus UP 2008); The Shortest Shadow: Nietzsche’s Philosophy of the Two (MIT 2003) and Ethics of the Real: Kant and Lacan (Verso 2000).
